Our Impact

Community Engagement

In addition to our building and remodeling projects, HomeAid reaches out to meet the immediate needs of Colorado families and individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness and the organizations that assist them. Every year we complete several HomeAid Care Days, HomeAid CareKits, and the HomeAid Essentials Drive.

HomeAid Care Days

HomeAid Colorado brings construction-industry professionals and affiliates to hands-on volunteer days during which minor repairs and upgrades are made at our partner service provider locations. Tasks like painting, landscaping, cleaning, or small construction projects are done at no charge based on the organization’s needs. During Care Days, our volunteers complete construction projects and provide critical resources to non-profit care providers who assist those in our community at a high risk of homelessness

HomeAid Essentials

These outreach programs coordinate with their local communities to collect and distribute donations of these much-needed items.

HomeAid CareKits

Bringing together donors and volunteers, we collect and assemble travel-size toiletry items including soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, and more. These items are then thoughtfully packaged into CareKits and distributed to the most vulnerable homeless populations through a network of emergency shelters and street outreach teams.

Share The Warmth

Share the Warmth is HomeAid’s winter essentials drive. During the month of October, we ask our community to donate new or gently used hats, gloves, and gloves to our neighbors at risk of or already experiencing homelessness. All items will be distributed to care providers in the Denver community in November to recognize Homelessness Awareness Month.
